  • Solid Foundation: Benefit from strong residency training (ACGME-accredited) and great external funding resources, including donor support. The department is well-positioned to further its mission in clinical care, research, and education.

Scope & Responsibilities

As Director of Anesthesia, you will collaborate closely with Department Chairs and Administrators to provide leadership for the department's clinical, academic, research, and community missions. Your role will include:

  • Daily operational oversight of clinical offices, patient care areas, and research.
  • Managing capital, human, and material resources to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Partnering with the Outpatient Director(s) and Medical Director(s) to identify and develop new service opportunities.
  • Playing a key role in financial oversight, ensuring revenue integrity, and supporting departmental growth.
  • Developing policies, procedures, and training to enhance service quality and cost-effectiveness.

You’ll need a proven ability to foster strong relationships with physicians, support staff, and leadership, ensuring the department’s continued success in a highly matrixed academic medical environment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related experience, with at least five (5) years in a management role.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, innovation, and change management.
  • Ability to develop partnerships with physicians and communicate effectively with staff and patients.
