TriHealth’s tradition of postgraduate medical education began in 1858 at Good Samaritan Hospital, the oldest and largest private teaching and specialty health care facility in Greater Cincinnati, and in 1947 at Bethesda North Hospital, a leading Cincinnati hospital. We are a supportive physician-led organization with extensive resources and are seeking a dynamic and visionary, board-certified Anesthesiology physician educator to contribute to the development of the inaugural Anesthesiology Residency Program at TriHealth. The residency program will be based at Bethesda North Hospital but will incorporate clinical teaching opportunities across TriHealth facilities in partnership with Seven Hills Anesthesia. Seven Hills Anesthesia has been the region’s leader in compassionate care for over 55 years. TriHealth is the 3rd largest employer in the region with 12,000+ diverse employees and consistently ranked among the top employers in the U.S. In fact, TriHealth has been recognized as a “Top 100 Integrated” Health System for more than a decade and designated a “Top 15 Health System” by Truven Health Analytics.
The Program Director of the ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program is responsible for the leadership, organization, operation, and general administration of the Anesthesiology Residency Program sponsored by TriHealth. The Program Director will support and amplify our longstanding commitment to Graduate Medical Education (GME) by positioning the Anesthesiology Residency as a premier training program in Ohio and beyond. The anticipated launch date for the fully sponsored, ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program is expected to begin July 2027 and will accept a total of 24 residents. TriHealth GME continues to build and train in the highly competitive Cincinnati region, with the goal of retaining providers, expanding access to quality care in rural areas and establishing TriHealth as a major teaching hospital.
