The Department of Anesthesiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center seeks an accomplished academic anesthesiologist to lead its Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology. This leadership role includes an academic appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
The division provides expert care for children across a wide range of specialties at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, including one of the nation’s busiest pediatric liver transplant programs. It supports 10 ORs, a dedicated pain and regional anesthesia service, and collaborates closely with the Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology division.
The Division Chief will oversee a team of 16 board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists, fellows, CRNAs, and trainees, and will advance clinical excellence, education, and research. The role includes recruiting faculty, enhancing the ACGME-accredited fellowship, and supporting research initiatives like the PANDA study. Extensive departmental resources, including a simulation center, are available to support innovation and growth.
