The Johns Hopkins Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine (ACCM) seeks an outstanding leader to serve as Chief of the Division of Neuroanesthesia. This is a premier leadership opportunity to join a world-class department at the forefront of academic anesthesiology, embedded in one of the most dynamic and collaborative clinical neuroscience environments in the country.

The incoming Division Chief will guide a team of 15 accomplished faculty and 14 CRNAs dedicated to providing highly specialized perioperative care for complex neurosurgical, spine, and interventional neuroradiology patients. This position offers a rare opportunity to advance cutting-edge clinical care, foster research excellence, and contribute to the nation’s top-ranked anesthesiology residency and neuroanesthesia fellowship programs.

ACCM at Johns Hopkins is an academic powerhouse in biomedical discovery and translational science, with leading programs in cardiovascular, neuroscience, critical care, and informatics research. The department supports extensive facilities for clinical and basic science research and is home to one of the nation’s top-ranked anesthesiology residency programs.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified in Anesthesiology (MD/DO)
  • Fellowship training in Neuroanesthesia strongly preferred
  • Record of academic achievement meriting Associate Professor rank or higher
  • Proven leadership in clinical program development, research, and education
