Obstetric Anesthesiologist

Full-time
Application Deadline: Feb 1, 2026
Obstetric Anesthesiology

The Division of Obstetric Anesthesia is a dynamic group of nine fellowship-trained faculty who provide care for a diverse and complex patient population. Our division supports an ACGME-accredited fellowship program with one fellow per year and participates actively in resident and medical student education.

UNC performs more than 4,400 deliveries annually, including a large proportion of high-risk maternal and fetal cases such as maternal cardiac disease, placenta accreta spectrum disorders, and a wide range of hematologic and neurologic conditions. We also care for patients with sickle cell disease and other complex comorbidities.

Our team collaborates closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine colleagues in managing advanced perinatal care, including a robust fetal surgery program performing procedures such as open neural tube defect repair, fetoscopic interventions for twin-twin transfusion syndrome, and other advanced fetal procedures.

We seek to expand our team with a fellowship-trained anesthesiologist who shares our commitment to clinical excellence, innovative teaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration in the care of high-risk obstetric patients.
