WVU School of Medicine and the Department of Anesthesiology are seeking a Liver Transplant Anesthesiologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level to join our growing academic medical center.

The Opportunity

  • Practice in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary transplant and surgical teams
  • Join a growing academic anesthesiology department performing 40,000+ procedures annually
  • Opportunities for clinical education, research, and academic advancement

What We’re Looking For

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency or equivalent
  • Board certified/board eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Eligible for state medical licensure
  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in:
    • Liver transplantation
    • Hepatobiliary surgery
    • Complex perioperative care
  • Fellowship training in Transplant Anesthesiology, Critical Care, or a related subspecialty highly preferred
